School venue

Lectures and tutorial sessions will be held at Hotel Grand in Cetinje, Montenegro. 

Poster printing: format Portrait, recommended size A0. 

If you wish to print your poster in Cetinje, here are details for a local printer:

• You must send your files for printing at least 5 days in advance. When placing your order, mention that you are with EEML and MAIA. Cost: 5-10EUR depending on size.

Accommodation

School participants have the option to stay in Hotel Grand during the event, benefiting from the discounted prices negotiated for EEML attendees.

Price: 35 EUR / night / person, 2 persons sharing a room (2 separate beds + bathroom); breakfast, towels, and bed linens are included. 

Participants who received free accommodation will be assigned to 3-person rooms.

Check-in: Sunday July 26, 2026.  Check-out: Sunday August 2, 2026. These are the recommended travel dates.

Note: It will be possible to let us know in the registration form with which person(s) you want to share the room.

If you need to travel earlier/later than the check-in date or later than the check-out date, you will need to pay the extra nights. Please contact us (contact at eeml dot eu) to ask about availability.

Flying to Podgorica International Airport (TGD)

Podgorica International Airport is the closest airport to the school venue in Cetinje (~40 km).

Traveling from the Podgorica airport to the hotel

We will be organising transport from the airport to the hotel for all participants arriving on Saturday 25 July and Sunday 26 July. Please make sure to provide your arrival details (time / flight number) in the registration form. We will also provide transportation to Podgorica airport on Sunday August 2.

Tivat Airport 

We do not have organised shuttles from Tivat Airport. If you are arriving at Tivat Airport, a bus service to Cetinje is available from the Tivat bus station. Expect ~1.5 hours journey to Cetinje. Tickets: 5-10EUR, depending on the bus company. Tickets can be purchased at the bus station, often directly on the bus, or online.

Bus routes and tickets: https://busticket4.me/mne. The bus station is approximately 1.4km from Tivat Airport. While the distance is walkable, parts of the route do not have proper pavements or sidewalks. We recommend avoiding the walk if you are travelling with luggage or during the hottest part of the day.

• Tivat Airport → Cetinje: €85

Please confirm the price with the driver before starting your journey. In general, we advise being cautious when using taxis and agreeing on the fare in advance.

Cetinje is the former royal capital of Montenegro and is the location of several national institutions, including the official residence of the president of Montenegro.

The official currency of Montenegro is the Euro (EUR).
